Demonic Resurrection Reveal New Album Details

Indian metal veterans Demonic Resurrection have announced the release of their 4th full-length album titled 'The Demon King'. The album is due for release worldwide on Candlelight Records and on Universal Music in India.

Release dates:
India: 13th July
UK & Europe: 14th July
USA: 15th July

"We have always played around with unnamed forces of darkness in the past. With this release, we felt the need for an evil overlord to take the reigns and bring in the apocalypse. A savage and unstoppable force such as this had to be a definitive and commanding figure, which is why we came up with The Demon King." said Mephisto (Keyboards) explaining the album title.
Demonstealer further commented "This album has been 4 years in the making and we're more than excited to release it. We're also extremely happy to renew our deal with Candlelight Records who will put out the album worldwide and also our new relationship with Universal Music who will release the album in India."

The band's last album 'The Return To Darkness' was released in 2010 on Candlelight Records worldwide and Demonstealer Records in India.

“Where Did All The Rock Stars Go?” - Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne is clueless as to who will 'carry the flag' for rock stars from now on.

The 65-year-old musician was the frontman of legendary band Black Sabbath and has also had a successful solo career. Having now left his wild days behind, Ozzy admits he's concerned about who can take over his reputation.

"That might be a very true statement," he commented to Kerrang! magazine when asked if he thinks music is suffering from a lack of rock stars. "I honestly don't know who's going to carry the flag in the future, but I wish someone would hurry up. None of us are getting any younger, you know."

Ozzy also named one of his idols in the

Scorpions drummer jailed for insulting Islam in Dubai

Rocker James Kottak has been jailed in Dubai for insulting Islam.

According to The National newspaper, the Scorpions drummer will spend a month behind bars in the United Arab Emirates after he was convicted on Tuesday morning.
Kottak was arrested after reportedly raising his middle finger, flashing his backside at passengers and being under the influence of alcohol while in transit at Dubai airport on April 3.

He was en route from Russia to Bahrain for a Scorpions gig. He failed to make it to the 5 April concert.
According to The Gulf News, Kottak admitted to drinking but denied the other charges.

Police reports suggest the drummer verbally attacked passengers, calling them "non-educated Muslims", before dropping his trousers and flashing his middle finger at them.
In court, the rocker told prosecutors, "I don't remember saying these words and I did not flash my middle finger... There is no way that I would say such a phrase about Muslims, whether I was drunk or not... I confess to drinking alcohol but I refuse the other two charges, I did not do them."
He also denied taking down his trousers, adding, "This is not true. I just lifted my shirt up to show the tattoo on my back."
In addition to his jail sentence, Kottak was fined 2,000 dirhams for drinking alcohol without a licence.

He has been in custody since his arrest and this time will be deducted from his sentence.
Kottak has been a member of the Scorpions since 1996.

The Scorpions' manager didn't respond to requests for comment. Kottak's local lawyer couldn't immediately be reached.

JUDAS PRIEST 'Redeemer Of Souls' Title Track Streaming

The "Redeemer Of Souls" title track can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The song is available for purchase via iTunes and other digital service providers too.
JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Glenn Tipton said that fans should not expect wild experimentation. "Sometimes in the past we may have come under fire for being too adventurous musically – so we have listened," he said. "From start to finish, 'Redeemer Of Souls' is 18 songs of pure classic PRIEST metal."
Speaking to Artisan News at last month's VIP listening party for the Ronnie James Dio tribute album "This Is Your Life" and awards gala at the Avalon in Hollywood, California, JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford stated about the band's new CD: "The record is finished; it's absolutely finished as of today." He added: "It's a relief. It's a relief because whenever PRIEST makes an album, like any band, you put your heart and soul into it; it is that typical 'blood, sweat and tears.' It's not an easy thing to do 40 years later. But PRIEST has always been up for the challenge of that, and it's one of things that we love to do more than anything else as we move on through our metal years. So this is a great time for PRIEST: 40th anniversary, a brand new record. Life couldn't be better."
