Reviewed: FOR LIES I SIRE by MY DYING BRIDE (2009)

One of the most anticipated doom metal releases this year. Since the album 'A line of deathless kings' , the album satisfies all doom metal fans. Heavy riffs, melodramatic overtones is sure to captivate all metalheads. Tracks like My body, A funeral, The lies I sire, Echoes from a hollow soul, Shadowhaunt proves that the band is in constant state to evolution.

Highly recommended for all metal fans!

Reviewed: BALLADS OF A HANGMAN by GRAVE DIGGER (2009)

Power metal at its best - Ballads of a hangman. The influence of both speed metal and a touch of viking metal is promiscuous. Undoubtedly this is one of the favorite releases this year. The entire album packs a heavy punch.

An absolute must have for every metalhead!

Rating - 4.5 out of 5

Reviewed - HORDES OF CHAOS by KREATOR (2009)

The gods of teutonic thrash are back, though not with a bang (specially after the highly accredited last album Enemy of God - 2005). Hordes of Chaos fails to match up with the expectations. The album somewhat deviates from the original sound of Kreator. Songs like Warcurse, Escalation, Destroy what destroys you partly holds true to the teutonic thrash sound. In all, Hordes of Chaos stands as an average album from Kreator specially when compared to albums like Pleasure To Kill or Enemy Of God.
